01 / Overview
Keep the band aligned around what is playing now and what comes next, whether performers join from a native Apple client or a browser.
Search Songs or Setlists beside the live Queue, then add, reorder, or remove what comes next without hiding transport controls. Concurrent edits are applied against authoritative state while the current performance continues uninterrupted.
High-contrast Preview makes private inspection unmistakable and puts Add Next or Add to Queue beside the Song. Chart appearance, Display Key, instrument, spelling, and capo remain local to the performer and device.

02 / Design philosophy
The show should not depend on a distant service. Performance data stays close, responsive, and under the band’s control.
Shared playback, Queue, and Performance Key remain authoritative for the Band. Preview, workspace, and Display Key remain personal to each performer and device.
High-frequency actions stay visible, confirm success, and recover cleanly. Large targets, readable charts, and quiet reconnection help musicians keep moving under stage pressure.
Songs, members, libraries, and setlists reflect familiar band workflows. Imports, replacements, and restores are reviewed before they commit, because recoverability is part of a dependable show system.

Repeated rehearsals and live shows now drive the design: safer Queue editing, unmistakable Preview, consistent transport controls, adaptable charts, quieter reconnection, and explicit recovery tools.
Completed native sharing for individual or selected Songs, self-contained Setlists and gig books, plus whole Band and Personal Library backup and restore. Copy To moves reviewed content between a Band and Personal Library without disturbing the source.

05 / Current status
LiveStage Pro has now run through full stage-network rehearsals and multiple live-show dogfooding sessions—including recovery after an unexpected Host-computer restart. The native macOS Host has synchronized iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and browser performers while driving the existing external MIDI playback and lighting workflow.
The preparation workflow can now import SongBook Pro material, attach existing audio and MIDI, share selected Songs or complete Setlists, copy content between a Band and Personal Library, and back up or restore an entire Band or Library. Reviewed Add, Update, Replace, or Skip choices keep changes deliberate. The longer-term direction is to bring local content authoring, playback, and session hosting to iPadOS for bands that perform without a laptop; today, hosting remains a macOS capability and the project remains an active, unreleased prototype.
